Iran is planning to set novel programs for the sixth edition of Fajr International Visual Arts Festival held in the capital city of Tehran.
The programs are to be designed more exciting particularly those ones that will be offered at the international section of the festival, the organizers announced.

“We plan to invite a number of eminent foreign artists to join the Iranian jurors to judge the entries in the categories of cartoon, graphic design, illustration and photography, said the festival’s secretary Abbas Mir Hashemi.

A number of artists from 45 countries including cartoonists, photographers and poster designers submitted their works to last year’s Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts.

Canada, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Brazil, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, France, Jordan and Serbia were among the countries named in the previous submitted list.

The festival annually hosts many artists from the country and around the world to vie in nine categories including painting, graphic design, pottery, illustration, miniature, and caricature.

Iran's Fajr International Visual Arts Festival is part of the country's cultural programs held every year to commemorate the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

The sixth edition of the festival is scheduled to take place in February, 2014.
