Tehran, Aug 10, IRNA – Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Commerce said on Saturday that Iranian experts achieved the technology of producing antimony ingot.
Amir Amini added that in view of the existence of an active mine of antimony in Nehbandan, studies and research works started a year ago.
Some 500 to 1,000 tons of rock is produced from the mines each year that were earlier exported, he said, adding that but currently efforts are underway to produce ingot using a fully indigenous knowledge.
Antimony is a chemical element with application in the electronic, aerospace and chemical industries.
