Top military commanders from Iran and Oman weighed plans for the promotion of defense cooperation between the two countries.
According to The Iran Project, In a meeting in Tehran, Iranian Army Commander Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi and Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, the chief of staff of the Sultanate of Oman’s Armed Forces, discussed ways to expand military and defense cooperation at the regional level.
The Omani commander also held another meeting with Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh on Tuesday evening.
The two officials hailed the close relations between Tehran and Muscat on the basis of mutual respect and trust.
They also talked about the regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Al Raisi arrived in Tehran on Monday evening at the official invitation of Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri.
