Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says it is high time for Israel to accept defeat in Gaza after it was forced to plead for a ceasefire agreement with the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah.

According to The Iran Project, In a post on his X account on Wednesday, Araghchi said Hezbollah once again shattered the myth of Israel's invincibility by forcing the regime to accept the ceasefire.

On Tuesday, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu finally accepted the deal, which is expected to end the regime’s months-long deadly escalation against Lebanon.

It came after a meeting of his “security cabinet” to discuss a proposal put forward by the United States and France.

In his post, the Iranian foreign minister said Netanyahu was forced to plead for a ceasefire after heavy casualties in southern Lebanon.

Over the past year, Araghchi added, the Israeli prime minister "milked US taxpayers of tens of billions of dollars to fund his war crimes" in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
