Iranian weightlifter Alireza Abbaspour grabbed three medals, including two silver and one bronze, at the 2024 Junior World Weightlifting Championships held in Spain.
According to The Iran Project, Abbaspour secured second place by lifting a total of 351 kg in the 89 kg weight category.
In the snatch competition, the Iranian athlete successfully lifted 156 kg on his second attempt, earning a bronze medal.
Additionally, he lifted 195 kg on his third attempt in the clean and jerk competitions, securing a silver medal.
The 2024 Junior World Weightlifting Championships is currently being held in León, Spain, from September 19 to 27.
