The foreign minister of Iran highlighted Hezbollah’s ability to protect Lebanon against Israeli aggression, saying the resistance movement’s power is rooted in popular support.
According to The Iran Project, “Do not ever underestimate Hezbollah's ability to defend Lebanon against any aggression,” Abbas Araqchi said in a post on his X account on Tuesday night.
“Hezbollah's true power is rooted in its own capacities and popular support. It is more than capable of flattening the bases and colonies of the Israeli regime,” he added.
“This does not, however, excuse Arab and Islamic world from exercising duty to stand up to Israel,” the Iranian foreign minister said.
The Zionist regime has started a new wave of military strikes on Lebanon and Hezbollah forces in recent days.
Tens of thousands of people have fled southern Lebanon with little idea where to find safety as intense Israeli bombardment across Lebanon has killed at least 569 people, including 50 children.
