Iranian female karatekas won 12 colorful medals during the opening matches at the Russian International Karate Championships.

According to The Iran Project, on the first day of the sporting event, Iranian female athletes won nine gold and three bronze medals.

A total of 758 athletes from nine countries, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan, participated in the tournament.

The Russian International Karate Championships are being held in Russia from July 27 to 29, 2024.
