Iran cannot be removed from global oil market

1 Aug 2013 - 16:11

TEHRAN, Aug. 1 (MNA) – In response to a new plan by the US to totally cut off Iran’s oil exports, Iran’s representative at OPEC governing board said: “U.S‘s measure to remove Iran from global oil market is not a new verdict and is a previously failed scenario.”
In response to a new sanction proposed by the United States to totally cut off Iran’s oil exports by the end of the year, Mohammad Ali Khatibi said: “The U.S. and other imperialist countries have been determined to remove Iran from the international markets by imposing [sanctions and] restrictions  over the past years.”

“They have sanctioned Iran by imposing restrictions on oil purchase, ships, insurance, and various types of business transactions, however we remain in the global oil market and they have not been able to remove Iran from the oil market,” he added.
