Iran’s new ambassador to Brazil Abdollah Nekunam met on Saturday with Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian before departing Tehran for Brasília to start his diplomatic mission.

According to The Iran Project,During the meeting, Amirabdollhian stressed the importance of relations between the two countries in political, economic and international fields.

He also underlined cooperation in the BRICS group of emerging economies.

Nekunam has served as Iran consular in Munich, Hong Kong and Macao.
