The head of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) Samad Hassanzadeh, in a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Burkina Faso in Tehran Mohammadi Kaboureh, called for the relations between the two countries’ chambers of commerce to be strengthened.
According to The Iran Project,“To strengthen the level of relations, the capacity of the chambers of commerce of the two countries should be optimally used to exchange information and trade delegations,” Hassanzadeh said.
The official mentioned mining, agriculture, petrochemicals, health, and medicine as potential areas of cooperation between the two countries.
He considered the lack of effective and necessary information about the capacities of Burkina Faso in Iran as a serious obstacle in the way of expanding the level of trade relations between the two countries and emphasized: “The commercial advisor of this country's embassy in Iran should act more actively and provide the necessary information to Iran's economic operators.”
“If the necessary information about the economy and laws of Burkina Faso is available, it is possible to strengthen the relations between the two sides. On the other hand, considering the needs of this country, Iran can export technical engineering services to Burkina Faso. Also, Iran has made significant progress in terms of medicine, medical equipment, and services, and there is scope for cooperation in this field as well,” he added.
According to Hassanzadeh, Iran's investment in the field of extraterritorial agriculture can also be a field of cooperation between the two countries.
Cooperation in the field of manufacturing industrial machinery and parts is also possible, he added.
Kaboureh for his part invited Hassanzadeh to attend the 17th international handicraft exhibition of Burkina Faso, which will be held in the capital of this country from October 25 to November 8.
According to the official, this exhibition is one of the major events of this country.
