Iranian Police have announced the arrest of Akram Lahouri, a member of the anti-Shia Sipah-e-Sahaba terrorist group.
According to The Iran Project,The announcement was made on Sunday by Saeed Montazer-al-Mehdi, the spokesman for the Police Command of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He said that Lahouri was arrested while heading to a southern Iranian city.
The police official added that the terrorist had entered Iran after receiving bomb-making training in one of the neighboring countries.
The spokesman did not provide further details, including the exact date of the arrest.
He said that an investigation has been launched and additional information would be released once the probe was completed.
