Iran’s men's national table tennis team emerged victorious against Egypt at the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals underway in Busan, South Korea.
According to The Iran Project,Iran's national table tennis squad comprised of Noshad Alamian, Nima Alamian, and Amir-Hossein Hodaei defeated their rivals from Egypt 3-1 and secured their spot in the knockout stages of the sporting event.
Previously in the tournament, the Iranian team won 3-0 against Thailand but lost 3-1 against Portugal.
The next match for Iran will be against Romania on Tuesday, which will be the final match of the group stage.
Iran was drawn along with Romania, Egypt, Portugal, and Thailand in the group stage.
The ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals is underway in Busan, South Korea from February 16-25, 2024.
