The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that the Yemeni forces targeted MV Star Nasia, a Marshall Island-flagged, Greek-owned-and-operated bulk carrier transiting the Gulf of Aden.
According to The Iran Project,In a statement issued on Wednesday, the CENTCOM said that Yemeni forces had fired six anti-ship ballistic missiles (ASBM) from Yemen toward the Southern Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
It added that the USS Laboon (DDG 58), operating near MV Star Nasia, had intercepted and shot down a third anti-ship ballistic missile.
The government in Sana’a , which is run by the Houthi Ansarullah resistance movement, has declared its support for Palestine since the Israeli regime launched a deadly war on Gaza on October 7.
Yemen has vowed to continue attacks in the Red Sea on Israeli-linked ships until the regime ends an aggression against Gaza that has killed over 27,000 people in the besieged territory.
