Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian will hold a phone conversation with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan to discuss the latest situation surrounding the travel of Iranian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah pilgrimage.
According to The Iran Project,Amirabdollahian said on Wednesday that technical problems that caused a halt to plans to send Iranian Umrah pilgrims to Saudi Arabia after nine years had been settled.
He said his phone talks with bin Farhan will take place after a delegation of Saudi Arabian foreign ministry and aviation organization officials visited Tehran in recent days to sort out problems related to the travel of Iranian Umrah pilgrims to the Kingdom.
“The Saudi authorities have explicitly said that they have issued necessary orders to solve technical problems and work is progressing on its right path,” said the minister.
