\Iran has begun to test a software system for managing emergency fuel cards in the central region of Zahedan and Zabul region, an official announced.

According to The Iran Project, a new software system has been developed in the Zahedan region to manage the emergency fuel cards of gas stations.

Aliakbar Arabamari, an official with the National Oil Products Distribution Company, made the announcement while visiting the software system for the management of emergency fuel cards which was produced in the Zahedan region and is currently being tested in the supply stations.

The emergency fuel card management system is being produced and used on a trial basis to supervise fuel distribution, prevent misuse, and receive the required reports from the Zahedan region.

Regarding the operation process of the camera system for number plate recognition located in the central area of Zahedan, Arabameri said the implementation of this project, which is being executed to monitor and register the specifications of non-local license plates of the province, will facilitate the fuel card coding process.

And the waiting time for coding will be significantly reduced, he added.

Ghorbanali Mardani, the manager of the National Oil Products Distribution Company of Zahedan region, has said, "The management system for emergency fuel cards, which was produced by local engineers, enjoys various capabilities and functions in the field of facilitating fuel supply to travelers and residents of the region."

It is not clear whether, after the trial implementation of this plan, this system will spread to other provinces as well or not; The National Oil Products Distribution Company has not made any official announcement in this regard.
