A project to breed Bactrian camels in the northwestern province of Ardabil is underway with the participation of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
According to The Iran Project,The three-year project will end in the current year. There are about 200 Bactrian camels and 200,000 one-humped camels in the country.
