The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced in the early hours of Friday that it targeted the occupied Palestinian city of Umm al-Rashrash (Eilat) using appropriate weaponry.

According to The Iran Project,The Iraqi Resistance issued a concise statement claiming responsibility for targeting Umm al-Rashrash located in the south of occupied Palestine.

The statement mentioned that Resistance forces targeted a site in Umm al-Rashrash as part of their ongoing strategy of resisting the occupation, expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza, and in response to the massacres committed by the Israeli occupation entity against Palestinian civilians, including children, women, and elderly people, Al Mayadeen reported.

In support of the Palestinian people and their Resistance and in response to the US backing of "Israel" amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq continues to target US bases and targets in the region, with Fox News reporting on December 17 that the number of attacks on US forces in Syria and Iraq has reached 100 distinct attacks in around two months.
