Iran national futsal team overpowered Russia 3-2 in a friendly match in Lar city, Fars province on Monday.

According to The Iran Project,The match took place in Touba Complex in Larestan, Iran, with over 3,000 attendance.

Mehdi Karimi scored two goals and Ali Asghar Hassanzadeh was also on target.

Iran will also meet Russia again on Tuesday.

Team Melli prepares for the 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup, which will be held in Thailand from April 17 to 28.

Iran has been pitted against Kuwait, Bahrain, and debutants Afghanistan in Group D.
