Iran pays 70,000 bln. for National Housing Movement in 2 years

The head of Bank Maskan, also known as the Housing Bank, announced the payment of 70 thousand billion of National Housing Movement facilities from idle resources during the last two years.


According to The Iran Project, Abbas Hoseini made the announcement on Thursday while speaking to reporters.

So far, the facility contracts of 310,000 units of the National Housing Movement have been inked nationwide, he said.

He went on to stress the implementation of the housing production surge law, adding that, “Since the beginning of the implementation of the national housing movement plan, Bank Maskan has fulfilled more than 98% of its commitments in Tehran and other cities.

The official further stated that It is also planned to follow up on these obligations in the coming year.

Hossieni requested the Parliamentary Vice President to consider the necessary requirements for increasing the capital of Bank Maskan in the budget law of the next year.

In another relevant development, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development has declared that during the last 2 years, the ministry started the renovation of 40,000 units in the urban decay of Tehran.

He said that in every city where incentive packages have been implemented, underscoring that the renovation of urban decay has been facilitated and accelerated.

It is worth mentioning that all these moves taken place within the framework of the National Housing Movement.
