Iran Veterinary Organization in a statement has denied exported shrimps from Bushehr province being rejected by China, according to a statement released on Monday.
According to The Iran Project The statement also mentioned that last Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2022 - March 21, 2023), shrimps from Bushehr province were exported to 23 countries, including China, Russia, European Union countries, Persian Gulf countries, etc., and this process has been continued since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2023).
During the past Iranian year, 24,000 metric tons (mt) of shrimp were exported, of which 5,800 mts was exported to China and 8,600 mts to Russia.
Iran Veterinary Organization added that during the current Iranian calendar year, the shrimp export was 11,600 mts in the first eight months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to November 22, 2023), of which China’s share was 1,600 tons and Russia’s 4,700 tons, and so far no shipment has been rejected.
The statement also clarified that no shrimp produced in Bushehr province has been rejected from China, adding that no shrimp from this province has been exported to Japan.
