Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in a meeting with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amirabdollahian expressed Doha's readiness to promote relations with Tehran.
During the meeting which was held on the sidelines of the 58th Munich Security Conference (MSC), Al Thani hailed Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's upcoming visit to Qatar and elaborated on Doha plan to further develop relations with Iran.
He also welcomed progress in Vienna Talks and its important results for the region.
He presented a report of the latest measures taken by Qatar with regard to Afghanistan issue.
Meanwhile, Amirabdollahian hoped for President Raisi's visit to Doha to be successful.
He elaborated on Iran’s humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and the importance of helping Afghans to rid themselves of this difficult situation.
Both sides conferred on regional and Persian Gulf issues as well as the latest developments regarding the Vienna Talks.
