The international military competitions named 'Sea Cup' started with the participation of about 400 military forces from Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Iran in Anzali Port, northern Iran.
The opening ceremony of the event was held with a military parade of Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan on Tuesday evening.
The event, which is aimed at reinforcing navy forces’ skills, includes stages of surface shooting, aerial shooting, buoyant control in the sea, and harm control.
Earlier, Iranian Navy Commander Rear-Admiral Hossein Khanzadi said that hosting the upcoming international army competitions will show Iran's authority.
He termed the competitions as a special opportunity, noting that the individual and group military capabilities could be achieved in specialized areas.
