Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif held talks with his Irish counterpart Simon Coveney discussed issues related to mutual relations as well as the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
During the videoconference call on Wednesday, the two top diplomats also discussed Iran and Ireland’s perspectives on key regional issues.
The Irish foreign minister said his country intends to reopen its embassy in Tehran.
Zarif, in turn, praised the Irish side for initiating the videoconference call and invited his opposite number to visit Iran, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s website.
