MNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Tuesday received Chilean Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran Ignacio Janus at the end of his mission.

Outgoing Chilean Ambassador to Iran Ignacio Janus met with and bid farewell to Zarif at the end of his diplomatic mission in Tehran on Tuesday afternoon.

Janus was the first Chilean ambassador to Tehran after the victory of the revolution in 1979. He has served as Chile's permanent representative to international maritime organizations and also Chile's political coordinator at the United Nations Security Council.
