President.ir - The President sent a letter to the new Prime Minister of Iraq Mustafa Al-Kadhimi to offer congratulations on his election, expressing hope that cooperation and relations between the two countries further deepen in all fields of mutual interest during his tenure. 


President Hassan Rouhani’s message is as follows:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

Your Excellency Mr Mustafa Al-Kadhimi,

Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq,

Hello and peace be upon you and kindness and blessings of Allah,

I would like to offer my sincerest congratulations to Your Excellency on your election as the new Prime Minister of Iraq.

I hope that by relying on the Almighty and following the guidelines of Islam and with regard to the historical and long-standing relations between the two neighbouring and Muslim countries, cooperation and relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Iraq further deepen in all fields of mutual interest for both nations and establishing peace and stability in the region under Your Excellency’s support and the work of the elected government.

I wish Your Excellency health and success and the people of the Republic of Iraq prosperity and felicity.
