IRNA – Iran's Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali and the country's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov in a telephone conversation late on Thursday explored avenues for strengthening regional and international cooperation.

They also reviewed major issues, including the US illegal efforts for extending Iran's arms sanctions, nuclear activities.

Baseless claims by certain western states about Iran's space activities and politicization of International Monetary Fund (IMF) by the US and fighting coronavirus were among the other issues dealt with during the phone talk late on Thursday.
