Tasnim – Iran’s Judiciary Chief Hojatoleslam Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi praised the country’s military achievements and said recent advances in the country’s defense industry are a manifestation of the strategic belief that “we can”.
In a speech during his visit to a military exhibition on Saturday, Hojatoleslam Raeisi said, “Indeed, we saw the manifestation of (the motto) ‘we can’ in the visit to the country's defense industry exhibition.”
“This shows that the youth of the country deeply believe in the strategic guidelines of Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces (Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei),” he added.
“The defense industries are a symbol of the country’s industrial independence and show that by utilizing lofty thoughts and ideas, especially those of the youths…, we can guarantee economic, industrial and agricultural independence in all areas,” the judiciary chief stated.
During a ceremony in Tehran on Thursday, a state-of-the-art long-range air defense missile system dubbed “Bavar-373”, which has been fully designed and manufactured by military experts of the Islamic Republic, was unveiled.
Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.
Iranian officials have repeatedly underscored that the country will not hesitate to strengthen its military capabilities, including its missile power, which are entirely meant for defense, and that Iran’s defense capabilities will be never subject to negotiations.
Back in February 2018, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution called for efforts to maintain and boost Iran’s defense capabilities, hitting back at the enemies for disputing the country’s missile program.
“Without a moment of hesitation, the country must move to acquire whatever is necessary for defense, even if the whole world is opposed to it,” Ayatollah Khamenei said at the time.
