MNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and UN Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jan Kubis met and held talks in Tehran on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest as well as the latest developments in Lebanon and the region.

The top diplomats stressed the importance of boosting the efforts to promote stability and security in the region.

Kubis started his mission as the UN's special envoy for Lebanon mid-February.
