IRNA – Disappointing people is the main goal of the enemies' psychological war, Iranian culture and Islamic guidance minister said on Saturday.
Enemies have waged a psychological war to disappoint people, isolate the country across the globe and divide the officials, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Abbas Salehi said.
He made the remarks in a ceremony held to celebrate unveiling of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA)'s new website.
The Iranian media, in particular, IRNA have an important role in fighting the psychological war waged on the people, he added.
The official said that the enemies have targeted the country's territorial integrity and regime change is not the only aim of these pressures.
Salehi urged the Iranian media to raise social capital and said that the Iranian media, in particular, IRNA should promote hope and trust in the society.
