IRNA – Iran can be a main destination for Chinese tourists if Tehran offers more information and facilities to the prospective tourists, a Chinese official said Monday.
Zhang Xilong, deputy head of the China National Tourism Administration, told IRNA that offering facilities including easy visa can be an incentive to Chinese tourists to visit Iran.
He expressed hope that Iran would pave the way for more Chinese tourists to get familiar with the ancient Persian civilization.
Today Iran-China relations are extended to all spheres and the ties got strong thanks to the resolve of the Iranian and Chinese governments, he said.
The Chinese official emphasized that there are great potentials in terms of culture, trade and economy for the two countries to cooperate, adding that tourism relations should be developed in line with political and economic ties.
Referring to millions of Chinese tourists that visit other countries, Zhang said that tourist exchange requires joint training courses for the tour leaders and the tourists.
He said that tourism and economy are intertwined and that further cultural interactions will certainly lead to more economic partnership by both sides.
Given Iran's geographical location and historical role in Asia, he said, the country's culture is well-received in China and people are enthusiastic about broadening cultural relations with Iran.
