IRNA - Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani in a message late on Friday appreciated public turnout in rallies in support of the council’s recent decisions against bad promises of parties to the JCPOA.
Main asset of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of threats and crises was public support and strong bond between the people and officials, he said.
Undoubtedly, meaningful and knowingly presence of the fasting people in the massive rallies nationwide in support of the US government’s violation of JCPOA and EU’s passivity regarding the deal is the main message to the people subjected to Iran’s new measures, Shamkhani said.
Iran has given a 60-day deadline to the European signatories to reverse the situation; otherwise, Tehran would take more steps in modifying its commitments.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, however, has emphasized that the move does not mean leaving the JCPOA.
