IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in a phone conversation on Monday discussed bilateral ties and regional developments, including Syria.

Zarif and Lavrov focused on the upcoming Astana troika meeting to help settle the Syrian crisis.

They also dealt with bilateral and multilateral cooperation as well as upcoming meetings.

During the phone talk, the two foreign ministers also discussed regional and international developments such as pushing for settlement of the Syrian crisis through Astana talks.
