Iran, Pakistan stress forging legal cooperation

IRNA - Iran and Pakistan emphasized the need for further strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the legal and judicial sectors.


This was discussed during a meeting between Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Mehdi Honardoost and Pakistan’s Attorney General Anwar Mansoor Khan in Islamabad.

Referring to the achievements of the two countries in legal sector over the past two years, the ambassador emphasized the importance of continuing regular interactions between the two states in order to expand bilateral ties and exchange of views on issues of mutual interest.

The Attorney General of Pakistan also emphasized the importance of continuing talks and consultations between the two sides. He added that there is a vast scope of cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in legal and judicial sectors.

It is worth mentioning that Attorney General of Iran Mohammad Jafar Montazeri visited Pakistan in October 2016 on the invitation of his Pakistani counterpart.

The trip was aimed at promoting legal and judicial cooperation between Iran and Pakistan.
