IRNA – Kuwaiti people’s humanitarian aid to the flood-hit areas in Iran was delivered to Iran’s Embassy on Sunday to be dispatched to the country.

The package includes four containers packed with clothes, blankets, sheets, socks and stockings and prayer rugs.

People from different walks of life in the country visited Iran’s Embassy to express solidarity with families of flood victims and voiced their readiness for rendering any help they can.

Earlier, Kuwait had dispatched humanitarian aid to the affected people in Iran on the order of emir Sabah Al-Ahmad.

Iran Red Crescent Society (IRCS) announced on April 8 that Kuwait dispatched two aid shipments weighing 40 and 35 tons.

The first consignment, weighing 40 tons, included four water pumps, 600 food packs (23 kilograms of rice, sugar, dry milk, edible oil, macaroni, salt, green peas, dates, beans, sardines and lentils).

The second shipment weighing 35 tons contains one thousand 23-kilo packs of foods for families, 600 food packs weighing 10 kilos as well as 200 five-kilogram rice packs for affected families.
