IRNA – Iranian startups are eyeing the world markets in order to make use of their capacities, said Minister of Information and Communications Technology.
'To create jobs for the youth and go ahead with economic development, startups need a bigger market, which can be provided by accessing the world market,' wrote Mohammad-Javad Azari-Jahromi in his Instagram page.
Azari-Jahromi also gave an account of his visit to Vienna, on the sidelines of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).
He said that he had signed an agreement with LI Yong, the director-general of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
He said that he signed a letter of understanding with head of United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs in three important issues that will promote Iran's scientific status.
Jahromi added that he held a meeting with Iranian expatriates residing in Vienna.
He also wrote that a mock-up of an Iranian satellite carrier will be placed in the UN building.
Azari-Jahromi is currently in Vienna following his visit to Geneva to attend World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).
WSIS was attended by over 3,000 members from 150 countries.
