Iran ready to reinforce ties with regional states

6 Apr 2019 - 10:52

IRNA – Iran Chargé d'affaires in Lebanon underlined Iran's readiness to reinforce cooperation grounds with regional countries.

Addressing a summit in Beirut which was held in response to US President Donald Trump’s recent choice to recognize Israel sovereignty over Golan Heights, Ahmad Hosseini said developing relations and solidarity with regional countries can boost their ability to stand against US imperialist policies in the region.

He added that maintaining unity and integration on one hand and reinforcing solidarity among regional countries on the other hand will guarantee sovereignty, territorial integrity and also defeat of enemies.

He reiterated that retaking rights of countries in line with their historic rights, taking advantage of all capacities in international and regional arena and supporting Resistance will be possible in various formats.

Hosseini went on to say that Trump’s decision happened concurrent with defeat of US plots in supporting terrorist and Takfiri ideologies by Resistance Axis.

Comparing Trump’s choice with Balfour Declaration, he said undoubtedly this illegal decision will not change Syria possession of Golan Heights.

Certainly, the US act is the true violation of US Charter and UNSC enactments, Hosseini said.

Referring to US withdrawal from Iran nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), he said Trump once against isolated US by recognizing sovereignty of Israel over Golan.

He reiterated that US act to relocate its embassy from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds to promote ‘Deal of Century’, is against Islamic countries’ rights.

Hosseini stressed the fact that security in the sensitive Middle East has been endangered due to US interventions and Washington’s attempts to create chaos and sedition among regional countries.

Trump tweeted last Thursday that after 52 years it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel's Sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

In the meantime, Iranian Foreign Minister in a message referred to US President Donald Trump's recent choice on Golan Heights, warning Arab and Muslim states against US tricks.

'Trump’s lawless announcement on 'Occupied Syrian Golan' after last year’s on 'Occupied Al-Quds' is a sobering reminder for our Arab and Muslim brethren: US & Israel will offer you handshakes, but no matter how much you kowtow, they will still steal your lands. #LetUsUnite,' Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote on his Twitter account.

On December 6, 2017, the US President Donald Trump decided to relocate the US diplomatic mission from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds and to recognize Quds as the capital city of the Zionist regime of Israel.

Some 58 Palestinians were killed and thousands of others were injured by the Zionist troops on that day while protesting against the US relocation of embassy from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds.
