IRNA – Iranian prominent actor Jamshid Mashayekhi passed away at 85 due to old age and illness on Tuesday night.


Mashayekhi began professional acting on stage in 1957.

His first feature film role was Brick and Mirror (1965, by Ebrahim Golestan).

The Cow (1969), The Curse (1973), Hezar Dastan, (1978-1987, TV series), Kamalolmolk (1983), The Lead (1988), Honeymoo (1992), The Fateful Day (1994), Khane'i Rooy-e ?b (A House Built on Water), directed by Bahman Farm?n'?r? in 2001, Abadan (2003) were among movies in which Mashayekhi played role.
