MNA – Contrary to enemies’ expectations, Iran has no difficulty with meeting the domestic demand for foodstuff, Iranian deputy agriculture minister announced on Sunday.
“Presently, some 83 percent of domestic demand for foodstuff has been supplied in the country,” Iranian Deputy Agriculture Minister Abdolmahdi Bakhshandeh said, underscoring the high level of food security in Iran.
“Iran’s capability of producing agricultural products currently stands at 122 million tons per annum,” Bakhshandeh added.
