IRNA – Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian says Iranian power plants' generation capacity has risen 11-fold since the triumph of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Ardakanian made the remarks while addressing the inauguration ceremony of development projects in southern province of Kerman.

He said that despite such a growth in technology, 15 out of 100 people still do not have access to electricity and one out of 100 do not have access to water.

The minister is in Jiroft to inaugurate several development projects.
