IRNA – New Iraqi ambassador met with Iran’s Ambassador in Baghdad on Sunday before leaving for Tehran to start his mission.

Sa’d Javad Qandil, who replaced Rajeh al-Mousavi, discussed bilateral ties and regional developments with Iraj Masjedi in Baghdad.

The new envoy reiterated that he will do his best to help promote bilateral relations in all fields.

Masjedi, for his part, commented on mutual relations as well as prospects of boosting collaboration.
