ISNA – After a one-day visit to Iraqi Kurdistan Region, Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif and his accompanying delegation left Sulaymaniyah for Najaf on Tuesday night.

Upon their arrival at Najaf airport, they were welcomed by Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Najaf and the local officials, according to IRNA.

After that Mr. Zarif and his accompanying delegation departed for Karbala to attend Iran-Iraq economic conference on Wednesday morning.

Iranian foreign minister is scheduled to deliver a speech at the event.

At the final stage of his visit to Iraq, Mr. Zarif will again return to Najaf.
