Iran dismisses rumors on JCPOA exit

13 Jan 2019 - 9:36

IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi categorically dismissed the rumors on Tehran's exit from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

He made the statements in reaction to recent media hype that the Islamic Republic has quit the nuclear deal it reached with world powers in July 2015.

Qasemi strongly dismissed Iran’s exit from JCPOA, saying that there rumors are aimed at ensuring the profiteers’ interests and launch psychological confusion among the public.

Since the Iranian people always keep vigilance, such rumors will get nowhere, he said, noting that any decision on JCPOA lies only within the authority of the High Council of Supervising JCPOA and not any other entity.
