SHANA  -- Iran has installed the first offshore topside of Platform 13B of phase 13 of the supergiant South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf.

Operator of the phase’s development project Payam Motamed said the 2,200-ton structure was installed in its designated spot on Wednesday, December 05, 2018.

He further said that platforms 13B and 13D were being constructed at SADRA Company’s yard.

He said platform 13B was 98% complete and provided that the climate was appropriate, its delivery operation and installation would be implemented soon.

Once operational, the platform will produce 500 mcf/d (14.2 mcm/d) of natural gas from the phase, the official added.
