KShana – Iran’s Kermanshah Polymer Company (KPC) is to increase its polyethylene production capacity by 12 percent.
The CEO of the company, Masoud Saeidi Taheri, outlined the plant’s plans to boost its production capacity saying last year the company was able to offer 107% of its nominal polyethylene capacity, and in the first six months of the current calendar year, which began on March 21, production was 8% higher than its nominal capacity.
“This plant does not have any production bottlenecks and can increase its production capacity by 10 to 12 percent,” he added.
He said the plant’s polyethylene production capacity currently stood at 300,000 tons per year or 38 tons per hour.
“We hope to increase the capacity to 43 or 44 tons per hour," Mr. Taheri said.
He further stated that plans were under way to bring the facility’s production capacity to 345,000 tons per year by March 2020.
