IRNA – Iran’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad Javad Azari-Jahromi arrived in Baku late on Monday to take part in Quadrilateral Meeting of Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey IT Ministers slated to be held concurrent with the Exhibition Baku Tel-2018.
Upon arrival in Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Azari-Jahromi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that the visit is aimed at promoting regional cooperation with regional states north of Iran.
He was welcomed by Iran’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Republic Javad Jahangirzadeh.
He said that avenues for developing regional markets will be explored during the quadrilateral meeting.
Planning for sharing information and trade in the field of fledgling businesses, promoting exports and generating jobs in the country are among the other topics to be discussed during the upcoming meeting, he said.
On Iran’s participation in Baku Tel-2018, he said that 14 Iranian companies will actively take part in the event.
Some 200 companies from 20 countries are to display their capabilities in the upcoming exhibition in Baku.
