MNA – Iran's Basij Commander Brigadier General Gholam-Hossein Gheibparvar said that the force is going to establish 3,000 solar power plants across the country.
“We will start building 3,000 solar power plants [each] with 5KW capacity in this week,” he said Sunday in a press conference dedicated to announcing the programs of the Basij week which starts on November 20.
Basij aims to build 100KW solar power plants in the future, the commander highlighted.
Elsewhere he touched upon Basij’s plans to revolutionize Iran’s agriculture sector in 39,000 rural areas of the country, maintaining that 4,000 engineering teams will be dispatched to different regions of the country in this regard.
Among other main programs of Basij week is the 15th Resistance International Film Festival which will kick off on November 25 and go through for three days, he said, adding that some 900 foreign films have been sent to the festival.
He went on to say that one of the special programs of this year’s Basij week is expressing sympathy for people of Yemen thorough holding an international conference. The United States and Israeli regime have tasked Saudis to attack defenseless Yemeni people, he highlighted, adding that while the world is neglecting the incident, the Iranian nation is going to help Yemen.
The biggest help for the Yemeni nation is informing the world about the crisis and 22 bodies in the country have been tasked to do so in the country, he added.
