IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qasemi extended his condolences over the demise of some Afghan military and state officials in a helicopter crash in western Afghanistan on Wednesday.
In his condolence message, Qasemi condoled with the people and the government of Afghanistan and sympathized with the bereaved families of the officials as well.
A military helicopter crashed in Afghanistan's western province of Farah, killing a military commander, head and a member of Farah provincial council as well as 22 others.
Spokesperson of Farah governor Mohammad Naser Mehri said the helicopter was on its way from Farah to Harat and crashed in a mountainous area near Anar Darreh in western Afghanistan.
