IRNA – Five Iranian apparati released 685 information documents in the official portal established to provide people with free access to the information of state institutions.
According to the Law of Information Release and Free Access, the Iranian apparati must release the information of their activities in this official portal.
Iran's Social Security Organization released 331 documents; Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance released 53 documents; Ministry of Science, Research and Technology released 41 documents; Ministry of Roads and Urban Development released 40 documents and Tehran Municipality released 25 documents.
The Iranian government launched the portal in July 2017.
The portal was established after the law on Freedom of Information (FOI) was put into practice. The law on dissemination of, and free access to information was announced in 2009, and its executive directives were drawn up five years later in 2014.
Organizations and institutions are obliged to provide the information that people need in maximum 10 days via the system.
