IRNA – Iran and South Africa stressed the need for strengthening military and defense cooperation during the second joint commission on defense cooperation in Pretoria on Thursday.
Second Joint Iran-South Africa Defense Cooperation presided over by Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Ahadi and Permanent Secretary of South African Defense Ministry was held in Pretoria from October 9-11.
During the commission meeting, both sides explored avenues for promoting cooperation in various sectors including defense, military medical, science and technology.
They also called for exchanging information, conducting joint researches and devising mechanism for implementation of the agreements reached earlier during the meeting.
