IRNA - Pakistan on Saturday strongly condemned terrorist attack on military parade in Ahvaz, Iran, which killed at least ten people and injured more than 20 others.
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal in his tweet message said, 'Our deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones in this heinous attack.
“Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations”.
The shooting took place during the parade of military units which was held on the occasion of the beginning of the Sacred Defense Week a nationwide ceremony to mark the anniversary of Iraq’s eight years of imposed war against Iran under the former’s dictator Saddam Hussein.
“The terrorists disguised as Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and Basiji (volunteer) forces opened fire to the authorities and people from behind the stand during the parade,” Governor of Khuzestan Gholam-Reza Shariati said.
“The terrorist team was annihilated, two of them were killed and other two were arrested. One of the detained terrorists is injured,” said the governor.
